Monel vs. Stainless; Dacron vs. Mono

Togmaster, thanks for the reply. What are the advantages (disadvantages) of stainless wire over Monel, and mono backing over dacron. I note that EC had mentioned in another forum that he intended to address this issue.

Thanks for all the help. I think I get the picture on trolling with wire. Most questions answered but may have more as I get my feet wet. Now let the weather subside so I can go outside without getting hammered.
