Hi Doughboy,

This is just a thought. I do not use synthetic so I can not speak from experience.

My concern would be the diameter of the synthetic line. It is so thin. What will happen to the line with trolling pressure and fighting a fish. I can picture the line being sucked down into the spool.

Remember, just a thought.

OOOPPPPPSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in trouble again. I should know better than to think!!!

What can you expect from someone who builds 14 1/2' fly rods and doesn't put all the guides on the same axis (Roberts wrap, spiral wrap, acid wraps or as my fishing partner calls it "the twisted sister").

Hi guys,

Opinari. Great memory, I forgot about the mono backing.

Garyt. I use mono and I move the line across the spool quickly every so often, especially in deep water,

Thanks
