Andy, who ran the show, didn't want to be overwhelmed with people so he didn't tell anyone about it. It worked really well as practically no one showed up. I did help one gent mount some items on his yak and we talked kayak fishing.

After Cape Cod we were worn out anyway. I'm really glad that we weren't able to register the trailer. I would have hated being caught in the traffic coming back to Jersey and tow a trailer full of kayaks.

I want to add that everyone was really nice. The location/logistics isn't a good place for a demo anyway. There isn't a shallow water and launching is via a dock. Not good or safe for people new to kayaks and kayak fishing to try things. Lots of shallow water over a sand bottom is the best. We have an abundance of easily accessed spots in Jersey like this.

Jamaica bay

Flypaint,

Last weekend with two kids at home I could not make the event in Brooklyn. If you want I am going to try and get out saturday night. I have launch spots in the back of jamaica bay. Let me know, 1 spot is near north channel bridge and another is near Crossbay bridge(This one is not exactly a launch spot or pretty looking it is just a place to drop the kayak onto a beach and row to nice structure nearby. Let me know.

Rudy,When you say saturday night do you mean in the middle of the night or do you mean at dusk?I might be able to do something if it's not too late at night because I have my son's graduation the next day.
