Did an afternoon trip today with my son to the local reefs. They were really growling and if you didn't set the hook within 3 seconds of hitting the bottom, you were cleaned. Lots of nice on sea bass and tons of nice triggers. My son and I easily limited out on sea bass and had at least 30 big triggers, a few porgies and blues. Kept 12 fish and released the rest. There was a lot of small sea bass around but enough bigger ones to keep it interesting. The sea bass fishing should be phenomenal next year with all these small fish. The wind laid down nice in the PM and it was like a ghost town out there with maybe 2-3 boats, just a perfect early fall day. Still can't believe the amount and size of the triggers today. I feel sorry for any lobster or crab within 5 miles of there <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=154951" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> One on many doubles Trigger/Sea bass combo |
