Hi all,
Everyone must be out of town fishing.
I guess I have to start a new topic.
A customer requested a 7' spin, 3 piece, medium power, fast action and 1/4 to 5/8 oz lures. St Croix 2S70MF3 is the blank.
Hard to find BUT I now know who stocks them. Next time I won't have to have it shipped from the factory.
Tonight the customer brought over his reel. I had taped the guides in place. We went to the local park and test cast to set up striper guide. What a sweet blank!!!! It cast beautifully.
Each piece is 29-30"'s long. Fits in a suitcase. Now to install the components permanently.
Lamiglas makes a very nice 3 piece marlin travel rod. GBT 843L and GBT843M I believe are the models. 20 and 30 # test line. Gee, maybe I sould make one for myself and try it on blues/bass.
The advent of glass/graphite ferrules built as an intergral part of the blanks makes these sweet multi part blanks possible.
