I'm looking to take my 2700 C.C Angler out of the water, I left it in all winter, to clean the bottoem, paint, install new trancducer, change lower oil, so on. Does anybody know a place that rents Trailers for this size boat for 2 days ? Or a place that would hoist it out for 2 days(and let ME do the work) In nassau county?
Or if anybody wants to rent out there's .
Thanks,Tim

use a marine transporter that is fully licensed and insured.
Like All Island Marine Transport, Lighthouse, and Svvensons.

I would not pick someone out of the blue off craigslist and trust them with my investment.

If your going to your house they will block the boat up for you- so you can do your thing. Just be warned- you will need 4 stands and some blocks, and if you dont have stands then you will need alot ( somewhere around 16 if ) real cinder blocks, and a assortment of wood such as 2x4s, 4x4s, etc for them to block the boat up.

I would ask around- maybe there is a local marina that will pull you up and let you work on the boat- but those places are becoming few and far as the cost of doing business only allows space for customers spending some money.

I would also give some consideration to leaving the boat out longer then 2 days- being in the water all year its a good idea to let it dry out a bit- especially considering they probably used a skip-sand primer to bottom paint the boat and did not put any epoxy barrier what-so-ever.

Doesn't your marina haul boats?? let them haul and block it for you, and do the work at their yard... its not as convenient as in the yard, but it will get the job done....

In suffolk county, Long Island it is against the law for anyone other than the owner or his staff to paint boats while on marina property. The intent is that the owner is required to be trained on environmental issues and needs to take preventive measures when painting.

Perhaps it is different in Nassau county where this person lives.
