I was wondering if anyone ever had a problem with there brakes freezing on there trailer. I have a problem with one side this year and was wondering if I got it to give do I have to change the bearings or would it be alright to trailer the boat about 2 miles to the ramp or on occasion 40 miles to montauk.

What is the make of the trailer?

If it is a Venture they had a bad batch of backing plates in some of their trailers. Call them and they will send you a new set.

If not, try washing them out better, maybe get a flush kit, and try not to submerge them.
