Simple question just yesterday the starboard tilt was acting up intermittenly it would respond up/down and then nothing. Port enginre perfect with tilt up/down.

Today seemed to have lost all response on the starboard tilt. Looking at the OMC manual cannot figure out whether a fuse controls it or a seperate relay switch any ideas, just started yesterday out of the blue, regards Gary from the Sinestra.

Gary, Similar situation in another omc outboard. Check the connections that go to the tilt from the controlbox. Those plastic clips that join the tiltcable to the cable in the box. Take them apart, clean them up and spray the cr#* out of them. See if that works.

First see if it works with the switch on the motor if it does then its the switch on the controls.
Then go out & buy a yamaha. But if you decide to keep it

Remote Trim Tilt Switch

Gary, I have a 150 Yamaha, but I had that same problem last season. It was the remote trim/tilt switch in the control handle. I replaced it and that solved the problem.

I remember I replaced the switch as well, thats why there's tape holding my throttle handle together.

I originally thought the switch was going bad , yet I found out that it was a loose connection in the throttle arm involving a crimp connection. Take a look.
