The storms up this way were weird today.....very sneaky, and it never got that dark
. The suddenly you had a downpour and some bolts. I got out of the pool and stayed inside for a while.

Seems quiet now, but I'm sure that will change as I leave for the fishing grounds...LOL.

Hunting down all these weather sites will make a sane person batty. Just add Weatherbug to your desktray and you'll always have the weather with alerts and everything for you area/zip at your finger tips. But of course if more details are required you can bounce over to your sites of choice. But for up todate easy info www.Weatherbug.com can't be beat. IMHO

Sortie,,It took me some time to figure out what you were talking about but now I see. And there's no viruses or identity theft that can take place on that algreek site huh!!?

AlGeek and his sidekick Bass28 take a lot of chit from us, but if severe weather is en route I always look at their thread...they're easily as good as the talking heads on TV

I agree

I got caught out in the storm in the middle of the Peconic in my boat we were tyied up rafting & heard the rummbles turned on the radar & I didn't see any storm coming thought it must be all up high & no rain. kept eating & drinking rummbles got louder & closer so i look again? nothing?
Well we decide to start heading in all of a sudden I was playing with my radar & hit the rain button & tuned the dial +/- it in & the storm was on me like no one's business completly green screen looked out ahead and there was a wall of water coming down from the sky looked like a shower curtain when we drove into that all **** broke loose lighting, hail, rain, winds, everything but the kitchen sink. took me 3 passesd at getting into my dock to tie up.

Morale of the story I forgot how to use my radar in a storm & when I figured it out it was to late the storm was on me if I realizesd it sooner we all would have made it in with having the crap scared out of us. LEARN YOUR ELETRONICS IN GOOD WEATHER & BRUSH UP ON THEM ONCE IN A WHILE SO YOU WILL BE PREPAIRED & NOT CAUGHT LIKE ME. CHRIS
