Heading out for 2 day trips this weekend from Montauk. Looking at OceanTemp and seems to be no real breaks in temp down in the tails, dip, middle grounds, but some breaks down the 725 line, 525 across. Anyone hear of any fish being caught nearer to the 500 line vs going to the deeps??? My thought is to run down the 725 line and put em in at 525. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Weather looks like aces, so I hope everyone can raise em up this weekend. Good Luck!!

Are you looking for YFT and albies? If so, that plan just might work out, but there has been a good bite between middle grounds and the dip even though there was no big break. If you're looking for BFT go east young man go east. Acid Barge to the Gully to the Fairway buoy has been producing schoolies.
I don't know anyone who has been fishing in that area, so no help there. We used to routinely catch them at 600X600 at this time of year. But again, I haven't alked to anyone that has been fishing out at the aquarium.

So if I am understanding u correctly..You would march right to the middle grounds???

Nah, I would probably go to 600x600 and throw them in and then troll towrd the tails or middle grounds. If nothing hapened in a hour so I would bring them back in and finish the run.
