How many of you like to fish DEEP for BIG fluke? What do you consider deep?
Finally, what type of bottom do you like to fish over?

Here's a few nice fish taken aboard Captain Gary Corsetti's "Showtime Charters".

Al, I'm looking forward to "hooking up" with you and Gary later this month.

mikeyt413,

That's a Boga Grip in the picture. The tag on the bottom is an IGFA certification for the scale accuracy within the grip. That model goes to 60 pounds -- plenty for jumbo fluke.

These are quality instruments that are built to take the elements.

More than just handy to have.

mikeyt413,

Yep, I'm the guy that swims with da fish and takes their picture. I have four striper fishing videos that are available through www.artsnflies.com I have footage from Montauk on Stripers in Paradise and Secrets of the Striper Pros.

I have four other videos coming out this season and two of them will feature Lefty Kreh. I promise you, the only place you'll see more stripers is in your dreams.

The fluke in the picture weighted between 12 and 13 pounds. They were in 60 to 70 feet of water. I'll be visiting them this weekend with Crazy Al and Captain Corsetti.

I hope you folks have a banner fluke season in NY. Got snappers?

Mike
