After a booked week of Charters I can honestly report back that the action is still better then ever. The average trip was 8-10 keepers with a couple days of 12-14 keepers. Mostly all the Bass are 35-38 inches and every trip there was at least 1-2 fish in the 40" range. I had a late cancellation one night so I called my buddy Captain Phil Caruso of MrSeaCharters to get in on the action. We were slamming Bass on his boat several weeks ago so it was my time to repay the favor. That morning was a double digit day with fish up to 44 inches. A couple of the mornings ended early so I decided to do a little Porgy fishing. The action was never hot and heavy but they were the biggest I've ever seen. One morning they were up to 16 1/2 inches and the other morning to 15. I've never seen a Porgy larger then 2 1/4lbs or so and we've been getting them up to 3lbs. Definitely made for a nice fillet. Here's a few pics of the action from this past week. Most of next week is booked but there are a couple openings for the week after. This Bass action will remain steady until the first week or 2 of September. Then it's on to Togging!! Can't wait to rip some leather lips. <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=129712" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> 4 3 5 2 1 |
