Can some please tell the perfect all around fishing rod and reel combo??? I would like to use for fluke, flounder, inshore Blackfish and stripers.

I think I would lke a baitcasting conventional reel. Also I good web site that I can then purchase the setup.

Thanks for the replies.

I think the ideal setup would be a Newell 229, or 235, with a Ugly Stick boat rod, 6'6" 20-50..Great tip, sensitive, and strong as ****..U can pull out black fish all you want, inshore/offshore, can handle any bluefish, fluke, striper..The reel is great, only weighs about 14oz, and is awesome with 30Lb mono line. Try TackleDirect.com...Also, Saltwatertackle.com.
The whole setup should be around $200..But it will definitely last you, and its very versatile.

Slow Pick

Seatown-

There is no perfect all around combo-Sure you can use the mentioned rigs and you WILL catch fish-However, it will be slimmer pickins then if you had the proper setup for each species-for example a mh 6'6 sensitive tipped rod for fluke with 12lb mono or equiv. dia. braid etc.You will miss many a bite with an all around 15-40 lb class rod.Thats why most of us have a doz. or so combo's for all occasions and wifeys who want to kill us-LOL
