From reports that I've been getting from some of my buddies there seems to be some really good tog fishing to be had now. Usually you'll get the spring spawn run of tog when the dogwoods are blooming, but with the mild winter they might start earlier this year. I know people have been doing pretty well in around 70' of water off of New Jersey. Last week one of my friends had his limit of blackfish including an 8 and 9.5 lb fish. My only suggestion is that if you catch a female that is obviously full of eggs, let her go!!!
