Get used to hearing "because of the high price of fuel, we had to raise our prices". I wonder how many of you guys will lower your prices when the cost of fuel is cheaper ?

I still haven't raised mine in line with the cost of fuel. But thanks for reminging me to do it! I really do need to update the prices on my website. Thanks!

Wonder how many speed boat owners are going to be racing around in the bay this summer chasing their shadow, especially if it hits 5.00 a gallon at the dock.....
, then again if you can afford a boat like that you shouldn't have any problem putting fuel in it.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:..right.

PriCe oF FueL....

No biggy... I just may have to kill a couple extra tuna or stay and extra night to make money back.. all i can say.. is thank god for a fuel efficient engine. and thank god for a good paying job>> An unlimited yellow fin permit is the best thing since sliced bread. Hopefully fish buyers start to pay more money for fish as well. gotta be somewhat of a balance.. at least a dollar a LB increase.

It's all about the $$$, isn't it?

What happened to true sportfishing?

What if the permit morphs into a limited one?

What happens if the yellows become scarce?

What if the price for them plummets because of a newly discovered motherload off the coast of some 3rd world country?

RE to schoolman.

look i love good old fashion sportfishing. but i sell my fish. plain and simple. i keep what i need and the rest goes to the boat. its hard for a young guy to have a nice downeast boat without a little buisiness. it makes it interesting. if they lower the limmit i will simply charge everone for fuel and we will go for fun. for now im taking advantage. i mean i only have enough room for no more than 30 tuna anyway. so if i max out we go tile fish then shark... then home. this price of fuel only makes people like me want to sell more fish. i always catch something to sell. I make sure before i go the odds are in my favor. your welcome to come pull fish for me.. for the sport part. but the fish feed the public.

Just curious if you have all the required safety gear for commercial fishing? SOLAS Life Raft, immersion suits, SOLAS flares, etc.
