I bought a 50VSW back in July / August, filled out the form and sent it in. I haven't received my rebate. With the buyout / takeover of Penn I'm slightly concerned.

Did anyone get a rebate back, how long did it take ??

I remember reading somewhere that it was averaging 6 weeks. Gotta remember to include invoice, rebate form and warranty card. Ones without the warranty card weren't getting processed.

My guess

I bought a pair of 30tw's for Christmas and sent the rebate information in too. The rebate offer stated that the reels had to be purchased Dec. 31, 2002. Penn promotions gives you until Jan. 31, 2003 to send the information in. My guess is after all the registration cards, etc. are in on Jan. 31, the checks will be processed.

As far as Penn , I wonder if they were in trouble ??

It seemed like they should have have the resorces to stay on top .

I think they could have done much better on reserch and development recently .

Now other companys might just blow the out of the water .

Personally I just haven't been that impressed with the products in recent years .

I like many of you still own many of there reels .

I for myself have found my purchases have been moving to other companies . I always liked Penn too . Maybe the change in ownership will be for the better . I hope so .

It took me a solid 3 months to get my rebate on a 50T.

Sent in one for a 50VSW 2 months ago, and at 3 months I will call and raise ****.

I saved copies of everything. Hope you did too.

guess what showed up in the mail today ? yep a check for $ 80, only took about 6 months but I'm no longer complaining...
