DIVE
I had the pleasure of diving the Texas Tower prior to the last callapse. Our anchor latched on at 141fsw. Swam down the rope, then had to make a 10 yard swim over to the platform part. The current was ripping, hard to swim against. Once we reached the platform, it was mellow, we worked our way up the platform, both inside and out. Lots of ambiant light inside. When I hit the top of the triangle at about 65fsw, I just sat there gazing out into the distance, trying to view some big pelagics. The water was still moving fast up there, and it was crystal blue. No big pelagics, but a big school of Pollock. Heading back down the inside, down stairways, doorways, windows. Lobsters were actually way up in the structure. Got down to the anchor, making sure not to miss it across that current swim, and acended to hang on the rope a bit. GREAT experience. Gorgeous dive. Its ashame it callapsed further.
