Word to the wise: I just learned that Tempo Products, manufacturer of above-deck fuel tanks for boats, has been out of business for a few years now (despite the fact that they still have a website). Their customer service number is answered by W.I.S., a mfr/distributor of Tempo automotive products.

ERGO: no technical support for Tempo marine products, so think twice before you order old stock from various on-line sources.

N.B. Moeller Marine, the other mfr of marine fuel tanks, is very much in business.

Good to know, thanks for posting that!Mike, the Noreast brotherhood has been so helpful to me that I want to give everyone who needs a new fuel tank a heads-up on this

p.s. this explains why Tempo products are offered so cheaply on the web...retailers working down old stock

ERGO=Latin for "therefore", but NOT an acronym like 'e.g.,' 'i.e,.' or 'N.B.'

without googling, I believe e.g. is an acronym for the latin phrase 'exemplar gratis' (sp?)

I have trouble with the acronym "i.e." - no idea what the letters denote, but to me it means 'in other words'

one of my favorite Latin acronyms is N.B., which is quite old-fashioned but means 'nota bene' (sp?) - helpful note
