Got back from Tahiti and the Cook islands a couple of weeks ago. I had planned to do some fishing but I fell and broke a finger on my right hand prior to leaving so I scotched that idea. It was just as well the equipment there leaves a lot to be desired the locals do a lot of subsistance fishing from locally built skiffs. I watched one guy jig up a 50 lb yellowfin about 100 yds. from our ship anchored just off the harbor. One fellow passenger on our ship who runs a charter boat out of the Carolinas went out two days with his wife and only caught one wahoo.
