Penzoil FULL synthetic..

is GREAT stuff!!! I've been using it in my 140 evinrude and 15 yamaha for the past three years. My buddy has been doing the same in his 30 mariner(yamaha). It is definitely cleaner burning and easier flowing. What convinced me was doing a test with with the yammie lube and the quicksilver in the jar. I just poured an ounce of each lube in each jar. Then filled the jar with gas. I then swirled it around and the synthetic stuff just mixed much quicker. Its almost like the dino stuff had to be disolved by the gas before it would mix in. I use the penzoil full synthetic which I buy at the new Levitown Walmart or the Uniondale Walmart for $20. They also have it in the walmart on middle country road a little east of No. Ocean Ave. Also if anyone uses their outboard in the colder months, synthetic pours the same regardless of temperature. I say go for it.

I have to say....

I'm with synthetic all the way. I initially tried it in my 96 Tahoe with 10K miles on it. I switched to Mobil 1 in the engine, transmission, transfer, and front and rear differentials. I run Valvoline synthetic power steering fluid. Its been very good. As for my trnasmission, I also installed a trans temperature gauge to monitor things while towing in hot weather. Synthetic definitely runs cooler. My tranny temp dosent go over 160-160 degrees unless its really hot out with the A/C on. They say longer oil change intervals but I keep it at 3000-3500. Costs a bit more but it dosent break down as easy and flows very smooth in cold weather. That's good for starting up in the winter. Just my 2 cents.
