Ive seen the gadgets out there ranging from $200. ( Squeeze box ) and up but its been a while since I looked. Are there any cheaper ways of doing this without losing quality? I figure with WIFI as low as $40. maybe theres something simular.

theres 10,000 plus commercial free radio stations on the net and theres a few I like to listen to. Like Apples' Pirate Radio Rock from the 80's-90's. My home stereo is much better than my computor sound system. Much. The Squeezebox pictured above wirelessly transfers the signal from your computor to your stereo reciever. Im looking for a cheaper or other way of doing this. Its simple but if I can save a few bucks'. . .

You can also do it using Bluetooth.
I have mine wired.

Wifi is not the only wireless method. You can buy a reciever that has Bluetooth built in or you can buy the adaptors.

I'd run a cord from the headphone jack on my Klipsch computer speakers to the RCA jacks on my A/V receiver.

You would need to split the audio out of the computer for your computer speakers, there is no pass through on the wireless transmitter section.
