I've gone out on hot days all day and sometimes just want to have somewhere to go and chill out for a while. does anyone know any good spots to swim around mamaroneck or on north shore from matine**** to sands point? i heard that half moon bay is good but dont know exactly where it is. any information appreciated

SAND HOLE (northeastern side of Oyster Bay Harbor)

BUT, study the chart for the approach to this area and chart a careful course on your GPS chartplotter.

DO NOT DEVIATE from that course, even at high tide. you don't want to end up on an enormous rock jetty that runs in a northwesterly direction

That is a beatiful spot, too bad its gets so crowded on the weekends.

half moon is right to the east of the mouth of Manhasset.
