I think you might be referring to the NY Sportfishing Federation show, Feb 15-17 at the Freeport Rec Center. They say they'll have 60 exhibitors (haven't been nearly that many in recent years), and they have seminars periodically thruout the show.

You might be thinking of the CCA surf seminar that is usually held in February. I think it's in early April this year.
