Hello all.....Im looking for opinons on getting a new surf rod to match to an abu garcia revo s since my kids nicely got for me for my birthday. Which would provide a nice balanced setup. Should it be with trigger or not? I'm planning on using 30lb braid on it. Mostly fish from Breezy Point. Any suggestions will be most welcome.

Ken thats a great little reel you got there..I just build a rod just for that reel I did put a trigger reel seat on it feels great..( not a surf rod a 6'6" Fluke rod)..
Lamiglas make a 9' GSB1081L that would go nice with that reel .
