SURF FISHING....need help please

Hey guys, alright so I am going to visit my girlfriend at the Jersey Shore (Ocean City, New Jersey)this weekend and I'm basically just looking forward to going to the beach and fishing(and seeing her of course...) I usually fish out of western CT on my boat and have been having a decent season so far. Unfortunately I dont know the first thing about surf fishing. Any Ideas for fishing in jersey on the beach? Has anybody done it before? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
