pretty hard to beat the Aquaskinz products

We sell more Aquaskinz than any other brand, so people seem to like them the most. However, there are bags in all configurations and in just about any price range you can imagine.

We carry a pretty wide variety of bags so here is a link to them on our site and you can get an idea of what's out there.

Good luck!

I have the Aquaskinz Small and medium Lure Bag and like them. Nice
design...I like the thoughtfulness of the bucktail/iron compartments
and the materials stand up.

I noticed they have a Small'Tall'Lure Bag which seems nice too.

I personally dislike carrying a lot of stuff with me and do not like
having a bag of weighed lures hanging on my shoulders for four to
eight hours. I even find the small bag irritating...and I think it
effects my casts. With all the focus on how light and balanced the rod
and reel is...you also have to consider how balanced your body is.

I prefer to carry my tackle on a ultility belt that I designed. The
weight is carried at my center of gravity instead of a hanging weight.
I can walk into the surf with it and usually have more then enough
lures on that belt to last me the entire outing. It was cheap to
make. I used a scuba diver's belt as the base and attached a bunch of
compartments on it.

If I had to get one...I would get the small or small tall...and leave
the bulk of my lures in the car. The small bags are designed to
attach to wading belts too, although I usually leave mine on the
beach or in the car. I never take my medium bag out of the car....it is just too big in my opinion.

I hope it helps.

I'll add my endorsement of the AquqSkinz bags. Kadir makes a great product and stands behing them all 100%....the small tall and medium bags being my favorites. I even bought extra sets of inserts for each, and I change them as the need dictates...of course they're all loaded and ready to go for whatever area I'm fishing. If you want a truly GREAT bag, get a Hunter Products bag. Each bag is custom made by the owner and they are top notch....you just might have to wait a couple months to get it.

While I am sure those are all good bags they may not fit your budget. I use an Explorer Adventure Pack I got at the super Markdown price (or mistake) of five bucks. Normally like $23 at Sports Authority. The thing is still together so it isn't half bad. I just replaced most of the PVC tubes in it with square tubes I picked up at Terminal Tackle.

Another couple of bags I heard good things about were Precision Pak and the Shimano surf bag. I know J&H tackle in Oakdale has both.

I dpn't think just one bag will do, but can you be more specific for what you do? J & H has a good selection of canyon bags which are affordable. They come in several sizes as well. The AS gear is popular but the small tall only has 3 tubes. Sports Authority sells Plano Systems Bag- its blue, large, has 12 tubes and is pretty tuff goes for about $25 Bronco makes a large bag, tuff, has 10? slots I got it for $60 at a show. I use 3 different bags- one large for pluggin mtk, one medium for back bay/ns, and the AS tall small for skishin.

I also have the Aquaskinz medium bag and love it. The velcro holds it tight, sometime too tight LOL. I have the small Aquaskinz for a few select night lures I use the Shimano bag for the spring lures and thats a great bag at a lower price. Look at all of them then decide.

I wouldn't say its necessary but I like to organize one bag for my back bay fishing, One for larger plugs and a bigger range of gear for multiple situations. The third is one I simply modified for very specialized needs. I keep all 3 with me but you could easily find one like the Bronco or large AS that will do it all.

While I am sure that all the bags mentioned are great, I have used a bag you can get from any reasonably decent Army-Navy Surplus store which goes by the name of "European School Bag", "Danish School Bag", "School messenger Bag", or "Belgian School Bag". Same thing in all cases. Made of cloth, so not waterproof. It will not only hold two Plano 3700 series boxes plus a lot of pliers, leaders, etc., BUT it has a zipper which opens it up much wider, so that it will hold a ton of stuff. And, it goes for about $25. Check out www.armysurplusworld.com under School Messenger Bag ($20.95 plus shipping). BUT you can get it anywhere there is an Army Surplus store. Hope that this is helpful.
