NOT SURE OF THE ANSWER. MY BOAT IS IN THE CT SIDE OF THE BYRAM RIVER. THE BOAT IS REGISTERED IN N.Y.. SINCE I FISH BOTH CT AND NY WATERS, BUT REGULATIONS DO I ABIDE BY? DOES IT DEPEND ON WHERE I FISH THAT DAY? THANKS

Without drawing the whole thing out, basically you have to abide by the stricter regulations for each species. You can't be in possession of a fish that is illegal in CT just because you caught it in NY waters and vice versa.

I am in the same situation as you. My boat is also on the CT. side of the byram river. I think there are really two issues. First where you take the fish and second where you posses them. I think that when you dock up in byram, if you have fish with you that violate conn regs. you are screwed. By the way, I am right next door to rudy's tackle barn. Where are you located?

ICE...I keep my boat on the New York side and have had several dealings with the CT DEC. Remember that the sound is divided in juristiction. From the green side going south is under NY DEC regulations, everything else is under CT DEC regulations. If your home port is CT then no matter were you fish you cannot exceed CT's regs.

I'm a Port Chester resident planning on buying a boat this year. What is going dock rate for dockage at Rudy's and nearby marinas. I'm on the wait list for Port Chester but not sure if they have available dock space yet with all the new construction. Any input would be great.
