A week and a 1/2 ago I got sent to Tulsa, OK for work due to heavy storm damage in the area.
Part of the deal of the job means I have to be on call 1 month every year and June was my month.

I'm 1/2 way through a 3 week tour....
I've been averaging about 10 roof inspections a day for hail damage in 90+ degree blazing heat.

Today I'm gonna check out a lake to the north called Grand Lake that everybody tells me is the biggest hot spot around here but I try telling 'em it just ain't the same as the ocean:rolleyes:

There's a Bass Pro Shop 10 minutes away in Broken Arrow so I'm fixing on heading there today to pick up some Fathers Day presents for myself to send home.

As much as it sucks being away from home during this time of year and missing all the fishing, I feel guilty moaning when I think of all the service men and women in Iraq who are away from home for more than a year and have no clue if and when they are gonna make it home.

GOD BLESS AMERICA & be thankful for your time with your kids today on Fathers Day
I sure wish I was home fishing with my son today!!

Who else is gonna bring you a broken arrow????

That's actually the town I'm staying in.

There's a real serious Native American influence in these parts.

Good thing I'm not a gambler because there's lots of casinos around.

I figure with gas on the water heading over $5 a gallon, I ain't blowing any $$$$ in a casino...

Traveling and being away from the family and fishing is rough...

I turned down a Very good 6 dig Job that would have paid for me to relocate to Jax Fl, but they wanted me to be on call once a month from thursday to sunday and they would have sent me ANYWHERE in the world

I'd rather scratch the surface

Hang in there Chinacat!!!

Hang in there guy, been to Tulsa before and it ain't no fun. But you're better off than I'm likely to be later on this year with the scheduled traveling.

Thanks!!

At least the locals are pretty friendly and glad I'm here to help them
