Can anyone give me some reports of any striper action at the island?? I have been chugging along around the shore, and I was thinking about slinging some eels tonite... Any ideas??

According to last Sunday's reports the action has started on SW ledge. I also heard of a few fish taken from the North Rip.

Hey Mike, Tried for the island on Sunday morning. Fog and some heave still left over made me a bit less interested in prospecting at the island. I stayed close and hit up the west for some fluke. I ended up on a good drift on the east side of deep hole and picked up 3 keepers to 27" Not a bad day in the afternoon, but I had to help a friend move. I'm gonna head out one night this week, and this weekend... Gonna try a night bite and see whats up. Any news on a cinder worm hatch yet?

Still a few worm hatches coming off, but they should be over pretty soon if they aren't already done. All of the ponds have had hatches, I heard it was pretty good in Ninigret last week,
