I have anchored from the stern many times while wreck fishing. I do it for many reasons. Obviously safety not being one of them
I find it easier to move the rope around my cleats to move around on a peice. Sometimes it helps find the fish a bit eaiser. I also do it because the anchor I use is a wreck anchor and the one on my pulpit is not....
