I was wondering if some one could please tell me where the state boat launch is in Mattituck?I remember going out of there once but that was 20 years ago with my dad.I think it was right off of Sound Ave.Can any one help?Thank`s,wheels

As far as I know that ramp in Mattituck off of Sound Ave is a town ramp. I have the Southold town permit and that is listed as one of their ramps.

The ramp is located right near where Sound Ave and 25 merge at Mattituck.

I think you are right.The only state ramp I could find a listing for was in Jamesport.Thank`s for the reply.Wheels

Jamesport Ramp

To use the Jamesport Ramp you need to pick up a Riverhead town parking permit, at Warrens Tackle or Riverhead Town Hall. It is pretty inexpensive though, $5-10 for the season.

I was out on the North Fork today and checked the Mattituck Ramp. There are two ramps there. One for Mattituck residents only and one for Southold town residents. The non-resident permit is $50 for the year, and it gives you access to a lot of the Sound and Peconic Bay.

There is also a state ramp for very small boats (16 feet and under) at Oyster Pond. East of Greenport on the neck before Orient.

Thank you for the information.I`ll be heading out there in the morning.Hope to get some of those doormats.I found a site that listed all the ramp`s.I can use the Mattituck ramp for under ten bucks so that will work for me.Thank`s Again,Wheels
