Does anyone know of any open boat options in/around St. Augustine? Specifically, kid-friendly options. Also, are there any fishing piers in the area? I'll be down there with the family next week. Thanks.

St Augustine is beutiful...Also its the oldest City in the US I think. Sorry I dont know of any open boats but I know there is a marina with lots of charters there. There is also a pier ( well it was there 2 years ago) Make sure you go to Old St Augustine and go on the tour, well worth it!! Enjoy.
There is also a Wine factory there, make sure you go there for taste testing!!!

Scuttlebut,
I've fished in the Springtime with "Sea-Luv". They have at least one if not two party boats and I remember having excellent sea bass fishing with the. All the typical bottom fish available as well. There used to be a pier right downtown but I'm not sure how it was affected by the storms a couple of years ago. St. Augustine is dead slow for fishing in the winter because the water is too cold but you should have plenty of action at this time of year.

I lived down in St. Augustine a few years ago and fished on the K-2 when I was down there. They have a fantastic crew and great boat. Its full day deep sea bottom fishing, if you do go out don't forget to bring some sibiki rigs for catching live bait.I don't know of any half day inshore trips that you might be looking for but I highly recommend this boat. As for fishing piers head over to Vilano beach take 1A and you will see the pier as you are going over the bridge. There is a restaurant right there too that makes a fantastic mahi sandwich.

Wish I was going. Enjoy!
