What is the best way to fish for bluefins at the bfish hole and cia grounds during the spring/early summer? Any info is helpfull.

First thing to do is find out if they're there. many years, when they migrate at the edge, they don't come inshore until they are well past the point. Then you have to go to 14550 - 14600 to catch them. If they are there, troll really small lures, nothing over 3 inches long.

Thanks. Just trying to make the disision whether or not to get the permit and fish for them from my own boat next season.

the butterfish hole had a run of schoolies, if memory serves me it was late july. i fished with a friend of mine and we blasted them for about two hours, catch and release. the permit is cheap, go for it. you'll be sorry if you don't.
