NEVER FAIL METHOD TO FIND THE HOT SPOT!
( I don't know what town you're on, but it doesn't matter)
1) Go into your local tackle shop and BUY SOMETHING
2) Now that you're a customer, explain just as you did here, that your saltwater experience is limited to the Gulf coast.
3) Ask where the locals have been catching fish, then shut up and listen.
4) When the proprieter is finished, ask if he was going fishing today, where HE would go.
5) Don't forget to THANK him, and promise to let him know how you do.
I suggest you take a few moments before asking, to determine who is the owner, and who is the "gopher".
Our Tackle shop owners are a vastly underutilized resource, they really WANT their customers to catch. They know their area well, but don't want to come off as a "know it all" so they don't give information unless asked BY A CUSTOMER.
