HI guys
does anyone know what the best way to make a spline finder ?
or where can i order one from? and how much $$$$$
Im thinking of the one that has the 4 legs on the bottom.

Clemens sold the spine finders. They have gone out of business.

I think Bob Mc kamey of CUSTOM TACKLE SUPPLY is now selling them. Give them a try. They are very good folks to deal with. (931) 684-6164..

How is the rod building coming along?

I tried this and seems to work for me. I took an 6' 2x6 and screwed 2 6" pieces of 2x6 to the ends on 90 degree angle. Screwed an old wagon axle bearing to the top of each upright and put the rod inside the bearings. Then I hang a 6oz. sinker that's on a bent up coat hanger in the middle and it seems to spin then stop in one place. I mark it and try again and usually same place. If this method is wrong, please set me staight so I can learn to do things right. Thanks.
