Terminal Tackle Kings Park has the mold and hooks

Spiro makes a beautiful bucktail lots of color full bucktail and nice paint jobs but the hook are crap. I have lost a number of Bass to their hooks breaking off.

This Saturday a friend caught a nice fluke when I inverted the buck tail to let the weight of the fish pull the hook out the shank of Spiro hook broke right in the bend of the hook.

He had never heard this before and complained that I must have done it. No It?s a common problem.

I bought the Mold from Terminal tackle in Kings Park along with a smiling bill mold. He has a choice of hooks for the mold. I went with cheaper of the two as he recommended. I have not broken a hook off since. Within a days production, I had enough to last me for seasons in a variety of weight.

Dip them in rust oleum as a Base or finish and let the kids custom paint them for you. they get a kick out of it and it?s a great off season family project. They all work great?my sons Custom Flame Job caught it?s share of Bass before it was lost. Even a plain lead with clear nail polish works fine as does plain white.

My Son tied these rain bait flies / teaser after a rain bait I brought home from Montauk. It worked great as a teaser ahead of a plug this time of year. I was the only one catching on those teasers last year. I offered one to the Fly fisherman who was crowding me unsuccessfully but he grumbled and walked away empty handed?.Oh Well!

Bigshow, wow they look great! I do alot of tieing for fresh water. After loosing a few spiros i figured i would get some heads to tie this winter. I found a guy that did a small run of 50 for me with musted sea gaurd hooks. 1-3oz sizes. I really like the teasers too! Ill post some pics of what i come up with. Thank you for yours.
