never really was a fan of spinning rods for bottom fishing. I feel a convential rod gives you more control over a fish and convential reels have better drags. with an convential outfit it makes it a lot easier to bottom fish with. But what ever your decision is those are some nice reels you mentioned im sure you can put them to good use. Good Luck chris
