SPINNING ROD FOR JIGGING COD!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I have recently built a sailfish spin rod that the customer will use a 9500 SS. I understand this heavy reel has beefed up drag system to handle big fish.

Far be it from me to tell someone not to try something. I have tried some duzzies. If you have the time and $$ go for it and let us know how you made out.

Very valid point!

Over the years I have seen too many show up with spin rods for blackfish, deepwater, heavy lead and wimpy rods. Most times they would not take the offer of a stout boat rod. They lost the most fish and lost the most rigs. And then you get a good fisherman that can use that kind of tackle and gives us a lesson.
