anybody know of any cheap wood spinning lathes and were to buy them?? I just wanted a hobby for those cold winter months with nothing to do; no high tech spinning lathe, just a simple piece of equiptment.

Cheap is a relative term. What kind of price range? I have a Jet Midi I use for my Rod Building that I spent about $300 for. I did a lot of research before I purchased, and I felt that for the quality of the machine, $300 was cheap. There are a lot of mini's out there for around $300 brand new. Obviously, I would look to a used machine if you want to keep it cheap. For a used lathe, try www.Craigslist.org and search your local area. If you want a new machine, just search the the manufacturers online. Jet, Delta, Craftsman, Grizzly, Ridgid, etc.
