The people you have named are the designers and builders but not all of their boats are finished by them. My 28 Wayne Beal was designed by Calvin Beal and built by Wayne Beal and finished by Alan Johnson of AJ Enterprises.
My Flowers 36 is designed by Spencer Lincoln and built and finished by Flowers Boatworks.
Calvin Beal designs and builds his own boats but can only finish so many boats so you see a lot of his hull finished by other poeple.
Hope this helps.

blackdiamond296...

The original owner didn't want them??? I do like that hard-top on you rig...My Bimini is on order, brand new to match the boot-stripe, Dark Brown.. She is a fixed bimini that never comes down and with extra height for plenty of headroom..

Frigate,I remember the Cape Dory before the new ride.. I'll be seeing more of you this summer, I'm bringing her back to Shinne**** for the summer months and then Montauk again for the Fall Run..

Midcoast...She came out really nice lookin'. I believe you posted pics of her when you first picked her up...on a trailer? Nice work!!!

What more can you say about the classic lines of a Groverbuilt!!!

geosushi...was that pulpit an add-on or original??..looking to add one for the new windlass this season, also a great looking rig!!

Great pics guys!!! never get tired of lookin' at them

Weird!!! I mean, why on earth wouldn't you want it?!

I know of someone else who bought one used without it and got a conversion kit from Fortier to add it in himself. Its an easy job if you have cable steering, a little more involved with hydraulic thou...

The hardtop is nice, allowed us to mount the FF on it with a Navpod and use some eisenglass on the front section...

Mike,

We cruise at 23 knots unless we have a canyon load on. When we go to the canyon with people, bait, all the things you take to the canyon and a 2000 lbs. of ice we cruise at 21.8-22 knots. She is a good sea boat.

Brad,

I sold the Cape Dory and it is in Maine now. Stop by this summer and I'll give you a tour. We are still in Jackson's.

Thanks, Right now I have rigged for commercial lobstering with not alot of extras. Next year I plan to add rod holders, a fish box etc. That way she'll be equipped for lobstering and sport fishing. Heres a before and after shot...
First pic is right after I brought her home, and the second if when she was just about done minus the electonics.
