(Renolyds Channel area) -- So good to have the spring here...went out Saturday morning and Sunday night to try out some new lures from the fishing expo at Nassau Coliseum, and from some nice Noreast posts about choppers near bay bridges.

Got a 18 inch 1.5 lbs ****tail Blue on Saturday (with a Bass Assasin), along with a 25 inch 4 lbs (with a Bass Assasin) & 29 inch 6.5 lbs (with a 4oz. white bucktail tipped with an artificial squid teaser).

Cooked some tonight Francese style for my wife and I, and froze a nice big bag for the week.

Also tried from the surf Saturday, but it was a bit too windy/choppy. I played 9 holes at Merrick Golf Course Sunday morning (poorly!) and saw a cool little blitz in the water right off of the 3rd tee box. I wanted to leave and go fish! Would have gotten a cell phone clip but I new it would be poor quality.

Tight lines everybody! --JayRay
