Hey boarders ,
I was lucky enough to slam into some stripers out at moriches inlet recently, bang, bang, bang sssiiiinnnggg, poles bent in half type of action ,lotta fun except one thing . Kind of strange but when we fileted these fish up the filets had some kind of icky parasite looking streak running down the gut,it was like hard really small corn niblets,i've never seen anything like this and was wondering if any of you more experienced anglers could help explain.Needless to say the filets have not gotten eaten. Thanks

I think what you are describing is sealice. The lice doesnt affect the meat. The lice occurs when the fish bunch up and live very close togther. A lot of times in the fall i catch tons of bass with sea lice on them. Tight lines Chris
