Something Wrong with these Filets ?

Hey boarders ,
I was lucky enough to slam into some stripers out at moriches inlet recently, bang, bang, bang sssiiiinnnggg, poles bent in half type of action ,lotta fun except one thing . Kind of strange but when we fileted these fish up the filets had some kind of icky parasite looking streak running down the gut,it was like hard really small corn niblets,i've never seen anything like this and was wondering if any of you more experienced anglers could help explain.Needless to say the filets have not gotten eaten. Thanks

That doesn't sound like sea lice, they don't look anything like niblet corn. I have seen fish parasites like you describe in books (I think it was a freshwater fish, though). Try posting this in the "ask the pro's forum" for better feedback.
