I plan to visit Somerset Saltwater Fishing Show in NJ this weekend (March 14 - 16). I was pretty impressed with the show last two years as this kind of exclusive saltwater fishing show is unique in Metropolitan areas.
If you haven't visited the show, i highly recommend to see the show.

Kil,Paul,
If you happen to see a Zeebaas booth, please check them out for me. I've been itching to buy one. I would like an honest opinion. Thanks.Ok, I will. Do you have any specific questions I can ask them ?

I've been reading that Zeebaas is coming out with a new larger frame model. The largest spool now is the 2.7 spool. Ask them if the 2.7 is the largest spool they plan on making.will do. i hope we can find someone with them for you

I will most likley make the road trip 2.5 hrs by Mapquest from Hartford and be there
around 12:30 this Saturday....
It should be cheaper than going to a Casino.
But then again maybe not.....

You don't have to come down to NJ for the show as there is a similar saltwater show in Rhode Island in April. If you decide to come down to NJ show, let me know. We can meet together and I'll show my cod/tuna tackles.

If anyone is interested in buying quality tuna popping rods with reasonable prices, check OTI 7'6" 80 lbs rods at JPR Custom Rod booth (Booth 101). I tested the blank myself and the blank is strong enough any tuna under 150 lbs.

Zeebaas will have a booth.:) To bad it's a couple thousand miles away. Fishhead, if you see any good deals on the big zeebaas, send me a PM with the guys phone number so I can bottom feed on a new reel.:)
Hope to fish with you again. Hope your Texas twang doesn't get you in trouble up east.

Look at post #2 below. It says they will have a booth at Somerset.

Just got off a flight into Newark and happened to be sitting next to a man who designs, builds and tests rods for Shimano. He was flying in for the show. Very interesting guy to talk too. Made the last 90 minutes of the fight go by pretty quickly. He said they are working on a rod that us boating anglers in the northeast should like very much. Going to try to make it to the show on sunday.

I've found the OTI products to be a very good buy. If you don't like the standard model, I'm sure Paul could wrap a blank to your needs. I bought seven OTI rods or blanks in the last 6 months. yeah thats no problem..i did the customs for the OTI guys, they cam out pretty good:);)
