l asked a driver today about his weekend fishing and he said he had a great trip!
his smile made me ask, what did you catch?
he said, "we didn't catch anything"
with my slightly puzzled look he added,
"Don on Saturday l just sat on the pier in the beautiful winter sun
(winter in Oz) fishing with my kids, didn't matter to me that we caught nothing."

Sometimes just getting out on the water does it for me. Those magic days when the weather is just right.Or cooling off a glass of wine with a nice lunch.
BUT when Im " in the zone" & the fish are really biting its a real kick.
I like discovering schools of fish on hunches, trying new things, experimenting with baits tackle & lures also the understanding of the natural world you get .
+ a pretty girl on a jetski with a nice rack works for me as well!!

Sometimes just being out on a cold fall night, the only one on the beach for miles, fish or not it's soothing.
