My adult son and I were able to coordinate it so we could both take off on August 18. We'd like to go out on a full day boat for porgies/seabass. Would you recommend the North Shore boats or South Shore or is it really insignificant? Are there any boats that will do a multi-species trip? Are there any that would switch over if the initial targeted species weren't cooperating that day? Thanks so much for your input

Porgy's, Blue's and Fluke

If porgy's are #1 on your list and blue's and fluke would be good as well, I'd go " NORTH " to Port Jefferson and jump on the Osprey or Celtic Quest.

These boats usually fish for all three and have been doing really well.

If big fluke are your target I'd say Montauk, Shinny, Moriches(Rosie)in that order. The Capt. Bob out of Mattituck is also an option, but if your looking for a mixed bag go to Port Jeff.
