I am trying to track some bait movement. Has anyone seen snappers within the last week. If so where (town)? Back bays or open water? How large? Thank you!

My guess is that Bill is looking to put his North Shore clients onto some fish.

There here, bill's waiting for them to move outta the creeks & start feeding on the S.side, this way the large start feeding.
Its gonna be awhile before they are big enough to move outta the creeks where they are safe.

Hey bill,I got exact dates here when they flushed out last fall.

did those fish get chased out or run them selfs out chasing bait??
what lure would you throw out??

On this particular day, they were running from there moms & dads.:rolleyes:Monster blues had em pushed into the trough,as the tide dropped there was millions all down the beach.Pencils, tins, bucs all produce well.Guess what happened at night
The blues went to bed.Why everyone went home, blows my mind.Casting swimmers in the mullet color, had the edge over anything else at night.

Primary baits for blues??? how do you fish them, liveline back in the school??? I am a CT fisherman and there all over the place in August but never heard of using them as bait? This is why this site is great...

I have found them as awesome bait livelined for either fluke or bass. You can find them just about anywhere. I have seen them from 20miles from shore all the way to far up brackish waters. They tend to congregate in cooler water areas in august and around piers and docks, and even under bridges, where the shade and cooler water attract them on sunny days. To catch them I normally use really small castmasters.
