In my opinion states that share the same waters, example NY and NJ share Raritan Bay, should have the same size regulations and limits regarding their catch. I think it is ridiculous that NJ fisherman can catch fluke in NY waters at 16".5 and NY fisherman have to catch 17" in the same waters. Same goes for the weakfish. No offense to the NJ fisherman, your state certainly takes care of their fisherman.

i agree the rules should be the same for everyone. By the way, N.J. lets you keep 8 fluke, we can also keep 14 weaks and N.Y only 6. Also one more striper [two more with permit] and five more bluefish. I'm sure if some legislater reads this he'll correct the problem and lower the limits for N.J. Go figure.

Hmmm… this is a very interesting (but sensitive) topic!

Since I belong to several organizational groups that deals with fishery matters…. I must set aside my feelings and see where this one goes. However, I am very interested to know what other thinks of this matter.
