hello Drem,
i do not know myself but try calling the bunny clark or saco bay tackle they might be able to help you. or one of the party boats up here. i can buy small amounts from smith and gilmore but not in bulk. Hey if you are ever looking for a fishing partner i am available. I live in peterborough but would drive anywhere and share expenses. good to see more people from the real noreast on this site. The Maine shrimp have been hammered just like everything else. You used to be able to drive up the coast of Maine and see quite a few people selling shrimp out of garages, pickup trucks and anything else that would hold them.
If I remember right I think the price was about a buck a pound back in the day.

real noreasters???

NEW HAMPSHIRE,

I think I'm offended!!! How about it. Do any of my other downeast brethren feel the same?

I think NEW HAMPSHIRE is just jealous cause our coastline is bigger than his!!!(LOL)

A "Tote" is fishing jargon for a plastic box used to hold fish and other sundries aboard a fishing vessel.

Here are examples of the word used in sentences:

1) Hey Mack, can you dump a tote of ice into my fish box?

2) How many totes of cod did we harvest on this trip?

3) How many fluke does it take to fill a tote?

By the way, where did you hide your fying saucer when you landed?

Tim used to trap his own shrimp during the winter with big traps set in the mud. He didn't like the quality of the dragger caught shrimp. The last few years I think he has just kept an eye out for a good load of fresh shrimp from the daggers and grabbed it up,bagged it, and quick froze it for the summer. If I can grovel my way onto the BC shakedown cruise I'll quiz him.
