Should the knicks go for the lottery?

If I thought the Knicks could draft intelligently it would be a good idea. They do not have a clue. They would probably draft a shooting guard/small forward to at best be able to ride the bench behind Houston and Sprewell.
One last arguement against shooting for the lottery: When was the last time that the Knicks allowed a young player any significant playing time? Many a young player has arrived at the Garden only to be relegated to the bench.

Sea - ever seen that movie with Whoopi Goldberg as a Knicks coach? I forget the name. Anyway, I think she could do the job better than the current management. Scott Layden is an idiot. MSG is REALLY messing the program here. I just hope they do SOMEthing right next yr with McDyess coming back.
And did you hear about Chaney saying we should support our knicks more? If they played hard everyday and do the things they say they should be doing (in interviews after a loss), then maybe we would. It's hard to cheer for an underachieving/over-paid squad that only play hard half the time.
